UCAT Requirements

For UCAT results, we will look at an applicant's overall cognitive subtest score. We will not be using the situational judgement score as part of our assessment for 2025 entry. We will use results as part of our selection for interview and when making offers. We will consider your results alongside all the other information we know about you.

CBSE

Class XII school leaving qualifications are not considered to be suitable preparation for a competitive application to the University of Cambridge.

British

A*A*A* There are no GCSE (or equivalent) requirements for entry to Cambridge. GCSE results are looked at as a performance indicator, but within the context of the performance of the school/college where they were achieved.

IBDP

40-42, with 776 at Higher Level Higher Levels in Chemistry and one of Biology, Physics, Mathematics. Competitive applications typically have Higher Levels in two science subjects and Maths. Some Colleges require this and/or particular subjects. If taking Maths at Higher Level we recommend Analysis and Approaches for the most competitive application, however Applications and Interpretations will also be considered.

American

a minimum of five AP Test scores at Score 5, normally taken within a two-year period and with the most recent tests achieved within two years of application. AP Tests should be taken in subjects that have a particular focus on subjects related to the course applied for. Applicants do not have to have completed a minimum of five AP Courses to meet this requirement, as a Test can be sat without completing the relevant Course.
