IELTS

IELTS 7.5 overall, with no less than 7.5 in Spoken English.

UCAT Requirements

For 2025 entry we will be scoring applications to A100 Medicine and Surgery MBChB and A101 Gateway Year to Medicine MBChB using a combination of academic qualifications (GCSEs and A Levels) along with the UCAT score. We do not operate a cut-off system as such as the UCAT scores are a contributory element, rather than a threshold. We do not publish weighting and scoring processes as these are subject to change each year.

CBSE

Score of 75% overall with 5 subjects inclusive of Chemistry, Biology and Maths. Physics would be acceptable in place of Maths - if so Grade X Maths must be included with a score of 80%

British

A-level: AAA including Chemistry and Biology. Those taking a fourth A2 subject will not be at an advantage to those taking three. We do not rate A* as being higher than A, so we will not accept A*A*B instead of AAA. GCSE: A minimum of 6 GCSEs grade 4 or above required in Maths, English Language, Biology and Chemistry (or Dual Science/Double Science). Please note that applicants applying with these minimums are unlikely to be shortlisted to interview and that scoring is based on 8 GCSEs.

IBDP

Overall score of 36 points with a mark of 6 in 3 Higher Level subjects which must include Chemistry and Biology. If English and Maths not offered at GCSE, this must be offered with a mark of at least 5 at Standard level.

American

minimum of three Advanced Placement (AP) subjects with grades of 4 or 5. Subject-specific requirements will apply. Where there is a Mathematics A-level requirement, AP Calculus BC will be required. Dual enrolment courses and associate degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants taking an associate degree must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a minimum two years' study. Please send your module specifications and, if possible, a provisional transcript to the admissions team so that we can check that the course content is suitable for your intended programme. Grade equivalencies for dual enrolment courses are as follows: A* = A+ A = A or A- B = B+ or B
