For A-Levels (completed in one sitting): 3 subjects at AAA: Chemistry, one of Physics or Biology, and one additional subject. If Maths is not taken at A-Level, an A in GCSE Maths is required. 4 subjects at AAAB: Chemistry, two from Physics, Biology, or Maths, and one additional subject. An A in Chemistry is required. If Maths is not taken at A-Level, an A in GCSE Maths is required.

For International Baccalaureate (IB) (completed in one sitting): Total score of 36 (excluding bonus points), including 3 Higher Level subjects with Chemistry and one other science (Physics, Biology, or Maths) at a minimum score of 6. If a third science is taken at Standard Level, a score of at least 6 is required.

5 year (DEM) Programme applicants using US / Canada qualifications: High School Certificate + 1 year at university undergraduate degree level with a minimum GPA 3.3/4.0 Subjects must include Chemistry and 2 of either Physics, Biology or Calculus (if subject requirement is not presented at university degree level it must be presented at AP level with a minimum 4/5)
